I don't know about you but it annoys the hell out of me when driving down the motorway and the first two lanes are taken up by HGVs doing 55mph therefore reducing the motorway to one lane.
I think the government should consider introducing slot into the inside lane and all trucks have a pole system which fits into the slot (scalelectrix style). This would keep all the trucks in the inside lane freeing up two lanes for cars which are able to do the speed limit.
Why do trucks need to overtake if they are all limited to 55 anyway? Easy solution! no more traffic jams ever!
